| How Many Games Will The Cincinnati Bengals Win This Season? |
|
Cincinnati is one of those teams that just can’t find an identity. For instance, each year is literally something different for the Bengals, as they alternate between bottom feeder and playoff contender. Throughout this time, the Bengals have lacked depth at the majority of their positions. Nevertheless, this off season, the Bengals finally added some much needed depth, not seen on a Bengals squad since the 1988 season in which the team went 12 and four and lost in the Super Bowl. Last season, Marvin Lewis and the Bengals coaching staff finally switched their approach, from a pass offense to a run offense. The result was rather successful as former locker room troublemaker Cedric Benson was able to lead a Bengals offense from one of the worst to one of the best. The defense led by Leon Hall and Johnathan Joseph were able to smother offenses and go from 26th in the league to fourth. Nonetheless, these are the Bengals and with a steady diet of division champions in this year’s upcoming schedule, many critics believe they will fall back to third in the division and miss the playoffs. We on the other hand, believe the opposite. As we noted at the start of this article, the Bengals finally got some much needed depth at the secondary. Since they added more wide receiver options, and defensive depth, we see the Bengals going 10 and six for the second year in a row. However we think they will be a wild card candidate instead of division winner. |
